Imprisoned in the Speed Forceĭesiring revenge for being shunned, Savitar traveled to 2020/2021 during which his other self created time remnants, including Savitar's own younger self. He also knew about the Black Flash, a black-clad zombie-like speedster. Īt some point, the time remnant found the Philosopher's Stone which he used to make himself a mechanical suit of armor, both of which became a part of his power, and he eventually named himself Savitar, the "God of Speed" and become worshipped by his new god-like powers. Alone and overwhelmed by his painful memories, he became desperate to end his pain eventually coming to a realization that "God" feels no pain and he eventually decided to become one himself. After his creation, the time remnant was shunned by Team Flash because he was an aberration and not the 'real Barry'. However, Savitar slaughters most of them but spared only one time remnant to live as this time remnant was to become Savitar at some point in the future. Beginning in a possible timeline after Iris's death by Savitar, Barry created time remnants to help stop Savitar at some point in 2020/2021.
